Max Cost Calls

A Max cost call is a timed call up to the maximum call cost, after which, the call remains at that price for the remainder of the call.

For example:

National Call of 17 cents per minute, $2 Max Cost. Flagfall of 39 cents.

  • You would pay 17 cents per minute up to $2, and pay only $2 (plus a 39 cent flagfall) for the rest of the call.
  • For a call less than $2, you would pay only the per minute rate (plus a 39 cent flagfall).

Call Capping

Call caps are another way we provide you with great savings.

Your call will be charged at the regular per minute rate until the call cap is reached, after which you will enjoy 'free minutes' up until the length of time specified in the call cap is reached (for instance 30 minutes), after which you will be charged at the applicable per minute rate for the remainder of the call.

For example:

  • A two minute call may cost 34 cents with a 39 cent flagfall (2 min x 17 cent/min + 39 cent flagfall).
  • A call lasting anywhere between 14 minutes and 2 hours may cost $2.37 ($1.98 call cap + 39 cent flagfall).
  • A call for longer than 2 hours may cost $1.98 for the call cap, plus 17 cents for each minute beyond the first 2 hours, plus 39 cent flagfall.
